Monterey Bay Aquarium: Olive Ridley Turtle Rescue
Wondering about the Olive Ridley Sea Turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) that beached itself in Pacific Grove Wednesday? Check out this slide show of the rescue and behind-the-scenes care at the Aquarium. So far the turtle’s condition is stable, and it’s being kept in a heated holding pool to recover from being “cold-stunned.” The Pacific population of this species is listed as endangered because of disturbance of nesting areas, accidental catch in commercial fishing gear, and human consumption of sea turtle meat and eggs.

as we all know alot of our animals are becoming extinct. we have to do something about it. if people would stop tearing down forests and lettin the animals be there probably would be more of the species. people could say im an activist mayb i am mayb im not but we got to do something or well lose all the animal on this planet soooo please like if ur with me
